As I am sure you have heard, using a face mask will tighten your skin and give it a youthful look. The secret to that is using the right ingredients and for a long period of time. Using them correctly is something of an art form and requires practice. In this article I want to share with you some of my tricks in applying your face mask.
Start by prepping your face mask by washing it first with water and soap. When you are done cleaning, apply your mask. Make sure you cover every single part of your face including your nose, eyes, lips and chin. Apply only enough mask so you can see results. Don’t forget your neck!
It’s important to apply your mask all over your face starting from the top and slowly working your way down. You don’t want to over apply because it will look like you have acne and you don’t. Start applying from the middle and slowly work your way out. Don’t forget your neck as well.
Use your hands when applying your mask. This makes it easier for you to spread it evenly on your face and neck. Start from the bottom and work your way up. Put your hands together and make a patting motion. This will make your mask easier to spread evenly.
Now it’s time to get creative! Don’t be afraid to use different textures such as honey or egg white. If you are using a natural mask, use baby oil or even olive oil. They are all wonderful ways to add moisture to your skin and they are also much easier to apply than something like wax.
Finally, be careful not to over apply the mask. When you apply mask too much, it will be absorbed into your skin and you will end up with a wet, irritated face. It’s much better if you apply it once or twice but not more than that. If you do need a lot of it applied at once, then use clean cotton swabs for each application.
Once you have removed the mask, wash your face to remove any makeup. After that, pat dry. You can now exfoliate your skin to get rid of any dead skin cells. The last step is to use a moisturizer, either with oil or without oil, to seal in the moisture that you have just gotten from the mask.
As with anything new, it is always a good idea to test out a small area first. You want to see how your skin reacts to the mask. Also, you want to make sure that it doesn’t cause any sort of adverse reaction to your skin type. For example, some masks can cause your face to itch or burn. If you notice any redness or burning, then discontinue use and seek out another one.
A face mask can do wonders for your skin. Use the tips above to find the right one for you. You can get masks in many different types, colors, and combinations. Whatever you choose, don’t skimp on the quality of them. If you have sensitive skin or are prone to allergies, then use a natural mask made of natural products that will cleanse and nourish while keeping your skin type safe and balanced.
