How Do I Use a Face Mask?
A facial mask, sometimes referred to as an oral irrigator, is designed to be worn by medical professionals during healthcare procedures in order to control the spread of infections. It is designed to capture bacteria and liquid droplets that come from the patient’s mouth and nose and prevent them from escaping. The mask also keeps the patient from inhaling too much airborne infection causing germs, like virus particles.
Although this type of mask is worn over a patient’s nose and mouth by the medical practitioner’s hands, the mask can be worn alone and still maintain proper hygiene. To wear this type of mask over your nose and mouth, simply place it on your head and then place your hands on top of it, over the face and neck, and slowly guide the mask across your face and nose. To wear it alone, you simply place it on your head and gently guide it over your face and neck.
Although a face mask can be used for more than one patient, there are some basic precautions that should be taken prior to using this type of mask on a patient. First of all, the person wearing the mask should not drink any liquids before placing it on their face. In addition, it is important that the face mask not be used during a period of illness or infection. Therefore, if you suffer from any kind of illness, make sure that you cleanse your face before applying a face mask.
It is also important that the face mask is used properly, and that it be cleaned properly after use. In addition, when cleaning the face mask with water, always use water that is not contaminated with any form of germicide. Also, to remove the last traces of bacteria, use warm water and mild soap.
Finally, before using the face mask on a patient, ensure that you remove their footwear and gloves before applying the face mask. If you cannot remove the patient’s footwear, then take a piece of cloth and wipe down the inside of the mask with it before applying it.
This face mask should not be used on infants under the age of two years old. If you are not certain of the type of face mask that is appropriate for your patient, you may ask your physician or nurse to recommend another type of face mask.
