Originally designed to dry out excessive perspiration, some face masks were created with nose pads that helped to alleviate snoring. These masks may also contain additional features such as air pumps to help remove any excess moisture, air vents that open and close to help keep the face cool during hot summer days, and a slide button on the side to open and close the face mask without completely removing the headgear. Some masks may use a fan powered motor to rotate the headpiece at different speeds. Other advanced designs may use ultrasound to help humidify the air inside the mask, which could help to eliminate some of the dryness associated with many types of facial masks.
When selecting a face mask, you will want to consider the features that will help you most. If you have extremely dry skin, you will want to make sure that the mask does not contain a lot of fabric or has multiple layers of fabric. In order to get the best results, you should try to find a face mask that has at least two layers of fabric, so that if you have dry skin it will have plenty of room for your skin to breathe. You also want to make sure that the fabric is fairly lightweight so that it will not be heavy on your face as you wear it. The face mask should be made from a breathable fabric so that sweat won’t stick to it throughout the day. Many people prefer cloth or mesh because they can control how much sweat sticks to the fabric.
Face masks may not only be used for social distancing, but they can also be used to reduce the pain associated with allergies or colds.
